We’re excited to announce the release of OpenHPC v4.0!
This is the first major release in the OHPC 4.x branch, bringing critical support for two new major operating system distributions: EL 10 and openEuler 24.03.
Key Highlights in OpenHPC v4.0
- New OS Support: Targets EL 10 and openEuler 24.03.
- Modern Provisioning: OpenHPC has evolved! After over ten years, we have officially retired support for the older Warewulf 3 provisioning system. As previewed in the 3.x branch, v4.0 now fully supports three modern alternatives: Confluent, OpenCHAMI, and Warewulf 4.
- Component Updates: Numerous components have been updated and compiled with the latest GNU Compiler version 15.1.
Important Notes for Deployment
OpenHPC 4.x is intended for fresh installations targeting these newer distribution versions. This release is not designed for direct upgrades from previous versions.
Please consult the official documentation for detailed deployment and configuration information.
