OpenHPC and the High Performance Software Foundation

By February 8, 2024No Comments

As the OpenHPC governing board, we were delighted to learn of the intended creation of HPSF (High Performance Software Foundation) and welcome them as a partner at the Linux Foundation. OpenHPC has long supported the worldwide community’s need to have an open HPC software environment that is simple to install and maintain. OpenHPC focuses on creating clusters by curating and integrating open-source HPC and AI software and orchestrating them to simplify the deployment and operation of systems. It also provides straightforward tools to allow administrators and users to configure their environment. As such, OpenHPC provides a good base on which to install high-level software and run applications, like what HPSF will deliver. Thus, HPSF’s mission is complementary and strengthens the HPC community; we look forward to collaboration.
